About

Erin Hayde (b. 1988, California)

I am a visual artist and economist focused on sculpture, installation, and works on paper. I work with simple and accessible materials, usually plastic and other garbage harvested from the local environment. I use my art practice to transform these materials and explore ideas of human/nature, value, materiality, and the Anthropocene, often through a humorous or absurd lens. I recently received an MFA in Fine Arts from the School of Visual Arts in New York City.
